Earthdawn Character Toolkit

As a small update between new books, we present you with a free download: the Character Toolkit for Earthdawn Third Edition!

The Character Toolkit offers optional rules for character creation and movement, character conversion rules for those of you wanting to switch from Earthdawn Classic, and guidelines on how to build adepts from previous editions using ED3's Talent Options.

Company Updates

As of January 2010, RedBrick Limited became RedBrick LLC, headquartered in the United States. Operationally, nothing changes: the people, the products, and the product lines remain the same. What it does mean is that we are closer to the North American gaming community, which we know will prove to be useful as we continue to grow!

In other news, we have removed the Age of Legend 4e content from our site, as the project is still on extended hiatus. We're sad about the situation, but think it's better to avoid raising false hopes and expectations. Age of Legend 4e isn't dead yet, however. We will reconsider the project later this year and get it back with a bang if we can.

Earthdawn Classic Unsunset

Last year, pending the release of the current Earthdawn Third Edition game line, RedBrick announced the sunset of Earthdawn Classic. Since the release of Earthdawn Third Edition, we have had interest from a number of people wanting to complete their Earthdawn collections, some who missed out on the limited timeframe for obtaining books, and others who are getting back into Earthdawn again or are new to the game.

Therefore, we have reinstated the Earthdawn Classic print books and ebooks on our Lulu and DriveThruRPG/RPGNow storefronts (links are available from the product listings at www.earthdawn.com - click here for a direct link). Please be aware that the Earthdawn Classic game line is no longer officially supported! Where possible, we have noted this in the product descriptions (Lulu character limits make it difficult, unfortunately). There are differences between comparable Classic vs Third Edition products, for those who ask. And we are not sure how long we will keep the Classic products in publication for at this time.

Otherwise, RedBrick continues to actively expand and support the Earthdawn Third Edition game line in conjunction with Mongoose Publishing and their Flaming Cobra imprint.

Hopefully this news pleases Earthdawn fans! Thank you all again for your ongoing support.

Earthdawn everywhere, baby!

Namegivers of Barsaive Available Now!

We're proud to announce that the Namegivers of Barsaive book is now available! Click here, here, and here for previews!

Namegivers of Barsaive is the secret fifth core rulebook of the Earthdawn Third Edition game line. While its contents are completely optional, the book adds invaluable information about the cultures of each of the Namegiver races, adding depth and complexity to the game setting by helping each of these distinct cultures come to life.

This book offers new rules materials for your game, most prominently new Disciplines compiled from a number of First Edition books as well as new Disciplines canonized by RedBrick.

Revenge of the Shards!

Ardanyan's Revenge and the Shards Collection Volume One are now available as eBooks.

Ardanyan's Revenge is an adventure supplement for Earthdawn Third Edition. Intended for Initiate and Novice characters of any Discipline, this book provides comprehensive information on starting an Earthdawn game for kaer-dwelling characters, but integrates easily into any running Earthdawn campaign.

The Shards Collection Volume One is a collection of five stand-alone adventures for Earthdawn, to challenge Novice through Journeyman adepts.

Each book requires use of the Earthdawn Player’s and Gamemaster’s Guides.

Blue Planet eBooks now available!

We're proud to announce that the first Blue Planet eBooks are now available, from both First and Second Edition. The PDFs have been produced from scans of the original books. We have attempted to balance quality and size throughout the process and hope you are happy with the result.

Blue Planet is a compelling journey into humanity's dark future on a distant planet where life is hard and dying is easy. A world where GEO Marshals enforce the peace and wired mercs patrol deep waters in deadly fighter subs. A place where corporate greed and human desperation ravage an alien ecology, threatening to plunge humanity into a war of survival with an ancient legacy.
